Odgens is an unspoilt pretty hamlet in the
North Western part of the New Forest. A tranquil area in the heart of the New Forest yet
only a short drive from Fordingbridge or Ringwood. There is a village shop in the nearby
villages of Mockbeggar and Hyde and a local equestrian centre. Salisbury and Bournemouth
lay only about 20/25 minutes car drive away.
There are several excellent pubs
for meals in the vicinity. Most of which are dog-friendly.
During the fruit-picking season children can
enjoy a ride on the local (South Gorley) narrow-gauge steam railway 'to pick the fruit'
stopping at Gooseberry Halt and Raspberry Junction.

| This part of the New Forest has an enormous diversity of
landscape from heathery hills where you can walk serenaded by the song of the skylark to
open shades and wetlands with many wild flowers. Ancient woodlands, valleys with babbling
brooks, and bluebell woods. There is a large variety of flora and
fauna. A truly magical place.
